AquaDefender Connection Kit, for wide openings such as garages and double doors
With the AquaDefender Connection Set, you can also effectively protect wide openings against water damage. The set allows you to connect two or more AquaDefender Water Barriers watertight to each other, creating one continuous barrier for, for example, garage doors, shop windows, warehouses, and commercial buildings.

This set is designed for situations where a single flood barrier is not wide enough. By combining multiple flood barriers, a stable, watertight closure is created over a larger span. The set consists of multiple flood barriers and one or more coupling posts (depending on the width of the opening).

This is how it works
The coupling post (part of the set) is placed between two water barriers so that the flood barrier forms a single unit. Tools are required for the basic installation of the anchors in the floor. After that, installing the coupling post and tightening the water barriers is completed in a few minutes. Download the manual for the basic installation and steps.

Installation
Place the AquaDefender easily in the frame on the threshold or on the exterior wall. For optimal sealing, it is important that the threshold or wall is even. For inward-opening doors, you need a minimum threshold of 6 cm, and for outward-opening doors at least 4 cm. Always measure this width with the door closed.

The AquaDefender is easy to install. The first time you install the AquaDefender, you need to determine the position of the bridge based on the width of your door/frame. The bridge only needs to be installed once and can remain in place for use.
Next, the AquaDefender is installed with two steps. First, you tension the AquaDefender horizontally. Then, you bring the two walls together by tightening the two knobs.

Is my door/entrance suitable for installing AquaDefender?
You place the AquaDefender in the frame on the threshold. Keep in mind that the AquaDefender only seals properly if it is installed on a flat threshold. You need a minimum threshold of 6 cm for inward-opening doors. For outward-opening doors, a minimum threshold of 4 cm is required. This should be measured with the door closed.

When do I install the AquaDefender?
Two factors influence when you should install the AquaDefender preventively. First, your location. Do you live in an area where water nuisance occurs at yellow alert (>30 mm in 1 hour) or orange alert (>50 mm in 1 hour)?
